Once again WolvenDark members came up with a solution on how to fix the scanning problems with HP printers / scanners

 

Fix the problem while scanning ( Black Line to Left / Right )

 Reset the All-in-One Printer to Normal State.

If there is static interference, or loose connections with the product, this can result in bands or lines in the copy or scan output. To resolve this issue, check the product connections and reset the product.

 

1. Make sure the product is on, and then disconnect the power cord from the product.
2. Disconnect the USB cable from the product, and then disconnect it from the computer.
3. Reconnect the USB cable to the computer, and then reconnect it securely to the product.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet, and then reconnect it to the wall outlet.
5. Reconnect the power cord to the product.
6. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.

This is the only suitable way of fixing this problem.

Internet Explorer 11 Metro Mode on Windows 8.1 & Windows 8

Fix: Open Internet Explorer in Metro Mode

Internet Explorer 11 ( IE 11) came pre-installed with windows 8.1 . But some of the users said that it is always opening in desktop mode.So here the WolvenDark team came up with a solution on how to open the IE 11 in metro mode

To begin follow the steps:

Method - 1

Step-1: Open IE 11 on Desktop.
Step-2 :Go to tools ( Alt+x )
Step-3: Go to Internet Options and click on Programs Tab
Step-4: Make IE your Default Browser
Step-5: Go back to start and see if this works.

Method - 2

Step-1: Swipe and search for " Turn Windows Feature on / off  "
Step-2 Click on Internet Explorer  and turn the feature off.
Step-3: Wait for some time while applying changes and reboot the system.
Step-4: After Logging in again go and Swipe and search " Turn Windows Feature on / off "
Step-5: Click and turn on and wait till it applies changes.
Step-6: Reboot the system
Step-7: After Logging on , go to PC Settings and see which is the default browser. If any browser is highlighted change it to IE.
Step-8: Now it is 100% sure that it will always open in Metro mode.

Another way to fix Metro app crash on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

Most of the Users replied that previous solution was not working for some people. The problem was  that some computers did not grant access to some of the apps which lead to crash. This is another easy way to fix app crashes.  Follow the steps carefully and if you have got any doubts please mail at "wolvendarkcompany@gmail.com"

Step -1 Go to My Computer and click on C drive -->Properties-->Security

Step-2 Click on Edit

Step -3 Click on ADD button and type like this : "ALL APPLICATION PACKAGE"

            Click OK and Allow the shown settings

Step -3 Click on OK

If you want you can you can restart your computer and check whether it is working or not.

Fix Corrupted Pen-drive / Pen-drive cant be formatted / Pen-drive Unusable.

Fix unusable or corrupted Pen-drive or USB / Pen drive can’t be formatted.

The following steps delete all the data’s inside the media. But it is the simplest and easiest way to fix the media.

Before we begin let me say the cause for this:

1) Most of the cases happens if you take out the media without safely removing.

2) While copying or transferring files you might have taken it out.

There are plenty of causes so I can’t mention all of the cause. This causes the pen-drive to be corrupted.

                                                                                      OR

The problem is that while doing the above, the media’s partition might get deleted. This makes the device unusable etc.

The solution:

   1)      Connect pen-drive / USB to the computer.

   2)      Open Command Prompt as Administrator.

   3)      Then Type DISKPART

   4)      Type list volume.

   5)      * Select the volume by looking at the condition of each volume. Most probably the condition would be unhealthy and appears on the bottom of the list.

Example to select volume: “Select Volume 5”

*Be careful while selecting volume.

   6)      Type list partition.

   7)      If there is any partition delete it by typing the command

“Delete Partition Primary”

If there is no Partition we need to create it by typing the following commands

“Create Partition Primary”

   8)      Close the Command Prompt.

   9)      Click on safely remove device.

  10)   Plug in the device.
